OUR MISSION

Education:

Every child deserves a chance to achieve an education. Teonda Children's Foundation Uganda identified children in the district of Tororo with no access to education simply because they have to walk so many miles or can not afford to buy a pencil or book that would all cost less than a dollar.  The Foundation is currently providing scholastic materials for over 30 children to enable them attend the nearest school.

Community Development:

Encouraging the communities to be self sufficient. Putting developmental programs in place that will ensure self sustainment  by making agricultural development and vocational training available to the communities.

Welfare:

Heading into the first quarter of 2018, we will be implementing disease prevention programs and working to ensure our children's coverage for their physical health and wellbeing.

Shelter:

We are currently sheltering at least 30 children in the home. As the project expands TCFU will build to accommodate over 50 children. The children in the villages live under unbearable conditions, in grass roofed houses that can not stop the rain from penetrating into the house during rainy seasons. Some children spend their nights on the front yards because they simply have no home or there is not enough space in the small family house.

Farming and Agriculture:

TCF is currently helping this small community by facilitating their agricultural programs so the parents can grow crops and sell the produce that would generate revenue, so, they can afford an education for their children. The children in the home are also coming up with a plan to grow crops and rare animals to afford some of their extra needs. Encouraging tree planting, fruit growing and protecting the environment is also being encouraged as part of our program to aid these children and their community.

Charity:

To establish, develop and run charitable programs for social development, relief and rehabilitation of people in areas affected by natural, or other human or pestilential disaster, to mitigate the suffering of victims of such plagues as AIDS and alleviation of poverty.
